The Sugar Bowl - challenge 2 & Papertake Weekly Challenge

Toen ik de nieuwe schets op Papertake Weelky Challenges zag, wist ik meteen dat ik hiermee aan de slag wilde gaan.
Ik vind 'm echt helemaal geweldig!

Deze kaart is ook voor challenge #2 van The Sugar Bowl.
Je mag maar 3 stukken gedessineerd papier gebruiken (DCWV Black & White Prints - the Paperstack) en maar 3 embellishments (in mijn geval: knopen, eyelets en splitpennen).
Als je ook nog eens 3 Sugar Nellie afbeeldingen gebruikt, dan doe je 2 keer mee aan de loting voor geweldige prijzen.

Deze kaart is voor de man van mijn beste vriendin.
Hij is pas in maart jarig (je kunt maar beter voorbereid zijn!) en dit afdrukje past perfect bij hem; hij is nl auto-monteur!

When I saw the new sketch at Papertake Weelky Challenges, I knew I had to use it.
Really love this sketch!

This card is also for challenge #2 at The Sugar Bowl.

D = Dansen / Dance (#176)

Dansen is altijd een grote passie van mij geweest.
Als kind zat ik op klassiek ballet (veel lol, geen resultaat) en later ging ik heel graag dansen in een disco.

In 2001 heb ik aan een operette meegedaan en ik vond het heerlijk om te zingen, maar zeker ook om te dansen en om toneel te spelen.

Nu ga ik ook nog vaak dansend en zingend door mijn huis.
En als ik eens op een plek ben waar ik kan dansen, dan schroom ik echt niet en stap meteen de vloer op!

As a child I did classical ballet (lots of fun, no result) and later I loved to go to disco's.

In 2001 I played in an operetta and I loved the singing, but also the dancing and acting.

Nowadays I go through my house singing and dancing a lot.

Workshop albumtrack (#173 - 175)

Ergens in mei heb ik bij AkkeFietje de workshop Albumtrack gevolgd.
Weer een UFO die ergens hier in huis belandde.
Het werd echt tijd om daar eens mee aan de slag te gaan!

Het album is opgezet als een alfabet-album; er komen dus 26 LOs in.
Ik heb de 1e 3 nu af.
En zodra ik mijn tafel heb opgeruimd (jeetje, wat een rotzooi kan 1 creativeling maken!), ga ik verder met de rest.

(Na het scannen van de 1e LO heb ik iets met mijn scanner gedaan en nu werkt 'ie niet meer.

Eigenlijk vind ik de foto's nog mooier ook!)

Somewhere in may I went to AkkeFietje for the workshop Albumtrack.
Another UFO that ended up somewhere in my house.
It was about time I started working on it some more.

The album is an alphabet-album; so there will be 26 LOs.
I have now finished the 1st 3.
And as soon as I have cleaned my table (what a mess one creative person can make!), I'm starting on the rest.

(After scanning the 1st LO I did something to my scanner and now it doesn't work anymore.

To be honest, I like the photos more!)

Er zijn op dit moment heel veel Valentijn-challenges, dus het is niet heel moeilijk om een aantal elkaar te combineren.
Van de 6 challenges waar deze kaart aan voldoet, hebben 3 dit als thema.

Ik vind het heerlijk om te borduren op mijn kaarten.
En ondanks dat ik hier een kleine en een grote naaimachine heb staan, doe ik dat toch het liefst met de hand.
Kost wel ff wat tijd, maar dan heb je ook wat!

Of the 6 challenges this card applies to, 3 have this theme.

I love to use stitching on my cards.
And despite the small and the big sewing-machine I have here, I prefer hand-stitching.
It takes a while, but you have something to show for when you're finished!

Ik heb er zo genoeg van, ik voel me nog steeds niet goed.
Gelukkig geen last meer van mijn maag, maar dit weekend heb ik een vreselijke migraine-aanval gehad en het lijkt wel of die nog steeds niet echt over is!

Ik moest even wat anders doen vanavond, ik heb zo genoeg van dat 'bank-hangen'.
Ik heb voor 3 challenges een kaart gemaakt; 2 hebben hetzelfde thema en omdat ik zo graag met schetsen werk, heb ik een schets van een challenge gebruikt.

My stomache doesn't give me any more troubles, but I had a killer migraine this weekend and it feels like it's still not really over!

I had to do something else tonight, I had enough of being a couch-potato.

Ik heb, naast de vierkante enveloppen die ik gisteren liet zien, ook nog rechthoekige enveloppen gesneden.

Het totaal is gekomen op:

• 124 enveloppen van 15 bij 15 cm;
• 62 enveloppen van 13 bij 18 cm.

Ik heb 10 enveloppen voor 1 LO gerekend, dus ik kwam op 19 (afgerond naar boven).

Ik kan voorlopig weer heel veel kaarten versturen!

Besides the square enveloppes I showed yesterday, I also made some rectangles.

Total is:

• 124 enveloppes of 6 by 6";
• 62 enveloppes of 5 by 7".

I counted 10 enveloppes for 1 LO, so that's 19 (counted up).

I can sent a lot of cards now!

Ik snijd er met een Coluzzle-mal enveloppen van.
Gebruik ik het tenminste!
En de restjes gaan naar school, kunnen de kinderen er mee knutselen.
Vinden ze geweldig.

Ik wil de enveloppen ook mee laten tellen voor de challenge, maar ik weet nog niet zo goed voor hoeveel.
Misschien wel 4 voor een LO, net als de kaarten.

And I take the scraps to school, so the kids can use them.
They love it.

I want to let them count for the challenge as well, but I don't know for how much yet.

Jehkotar CardChallenge - # 39 & A Spoon Full of Sugar - challenge # 34

Dit papier lag al sinds zondag op mijn tafel naar me te roepen en vanavond heb ik er eindelijk weer mee gewerkt.
Ik heb de schets van Jehkotar gebruikt voor deze kaart.
De optie is om 2 verschillende stukken pp te gebruiken en dat heb ik ook gedaan, maar op mijn kaart lijkt het net of het er maar 1 is.
Heb ik ook eens een keer netjes geplakt! ;0))

Haar badjas is ge-paperpieced en dat past weer bij challenge # 34 van A Spoon Full of Sugar.

This paper has been calling my name since sunday and tonight I finally worked with it again.
I used the sketch by Jehkotar for this card.
They had the option to use 2 different pieces of pp and I did that, but on my card it looks like there is just 1.
I glued them onto my card very neatly this time! ;0))

Her badrobe is paperpieced and that is challenge # 34 over at A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Weekend

Ik had zoveel plannen voor dit weekend, maar ik geloof niet dat ik er ook maar 1 ten uitvoer heb gebracht.
Vrijdag kreeg ik last van mijn maag; ik moest steeds boeren en proefde dan eieren.
Dat deed me denken aan de voedselvergiftiging die ik in juni heb gehad.

Zaterdag en zondag voelde ik me ook niet helemaal tof, maar gaandeweg ging het wel beter.
Zelfs zo goed, dat toen mijn broertje gisteren toch tijd had om met ons zijn verjaardag te vieren (mijn kleine broertje werd 38!), we uit eten zijn gegaan.

Na het eten had ik het gevoel alsof ik even een rondje moest gaan rennen.
Ik had het gevoel dat ik elk moment uit elkaar kon klappen.
En vandaag heb ik weer last van mijn maag. Ik boer weer en ik proef steeds eieren.

Ik moet me de komende dagen maar heel rustig houden met eten!

I had so much planned for this weekend, but I don't think I realised just even 1.
On friday my stomache didn't feel good; I had to burp all the time and I tasted eggs.
That reminded me of the foodpoisening I had in June.

On saturday and sunday I didn't feel great, but I felt better as time went on.
I felt so good, that when my brother did have time yesterday to celebrate his birthday with us (my little brother turned 38!), we went out to dinner.

After dinner I felt as if I had to run for a bit.
I felt like I could explode any time.
And today my stomache feels bad again. I'm burping and I tatste eggs.

I have to be really carefull the next couple of days with what I eat.
