Pretty Woman ~ Shopping Spree

Ik heb de afgelopen dagen heel hard gewerkt aan mijn school-administratie. (Nog maar 4 weken en het is vakantie!)

Ik wil nu eens klaar zijn voor de vakantie begint; kan ik in de vakantie mijn tijd besteden aan andere dingen.

Om mezelf te belonen voor mijn harde werken, heb ik 3 kaarten gemaakt als GDT op de PCP-groep van Sassy Studio Designs.

Alle 3 anders, alle 3 met een andere techniek.

I have worked real hard on my school-papers these last few days. (Only 4 more weeks until vacations!)

This year I want to be finished before the schoolyear ends; so I can devote my time this vacation on other things.

To reward myself, I made 3 cards as GDT on the PCP-group of Sassy Studio Designs.

Girls just wanna have fun

Het is weer tijd voor een nieuwe challenge bij Pile It On en het was weer een echte challenge voor mij: gebruik stickers.

Ik gebruik eigenlijk nooit stickers op mijn kaarten en ik heb er ook niet zo veel meer. Ooit had ik heel veel van die goedkope (Action) stickers, maar die heb ik allemaal mee naar school genomen. Ik deed er nooit wat mee.

Nou had ik nog een kit liggen van Crate Paper waar ook stickers bij zitten. 1 van de stickers past geweldig bij de digi-stempels van AiFactory, onze sponsor en klaar was mijn kaart!

I rarely use stickers on my cards and I don't have that much stickers either. Once upon a time I had a lot of those cheapy ones, but I took them to school. I never used them.

I had a kit from Crate Paper that included stickers. 1 of the stickers goes real well with the digi-stamps from AiFactory, our sponsor and my card was finished!

Ogen ~ Eyes (#2)

Het ogen-verhaal is nog niet klaar. Maandag kon ik mijn nieuwe lenzen ophalen.

Er ging echt een wereld voor me open, ik kon ineens zoveel zien. Werd er soms af en toe een beetje naar van.

Maar ik had/heb nog steeds last van vette ogen en daarmee met vette lenzen.

Gistermorgen voor school zat ik de krant te lezen en zag weer heel weinig. Naar de keuken, handen gewassen en klaar om mijn lens schoon te maken. Maak ik ineens een beweging met de hand waar mijn lens in zat..... lens kwijt!

Ik kan hem nergens vinden. Gisteren meteen maar weer een nieuwe besteld.

Maar goed dat het vakantie-geld binnen is.....

The story of my eyes isn't finished yet. I could finally pick up my new lenses on monday.

It was so amazing what I could see. I even got quisey (sp?) of it every now and then.

But I still had greasy eyes and so also greasy lenses.

Yesterday before school I was reading the newspaper and saw just a little again. Of to the kitchen, washed my hands and ready to clean my lens. I suddenly made a move with my hand that was holding my lens..... gone!

I can't find it anywhere. So I ordered a new lens yesterday.

Luckily my vacation-money has arrived.....

Vaderdag ~ Father's Day

Ik heb deze kaart al weken geleden gemaakt voor de vader van een meisje uit mijn groep.

Hij zit voor 7 maanden in Afghanistan en hij is/was bijna jarig.

Ze vroeg mij om een kaart te maken waar alle kinderen van mijn groep en die haar zusje hun naam in kunnen zetten.

Ik heb toen de schets van Friday Sketchers van die week gebruikt, maar vergat helemaal om hem te publiceren.

Nou ja, vergeten, door de problemen met mijn lenzen heb ik de laatste tijd amper achter mijn pc gezeten.

En weet je wat? Ik heb het niet eens echt gemist.....

I made this card a few weeks ago for the father of one of the girls in my class.

He's in Afghanistan for 7 months and his birthday is/was coming up.

She asked me to make him a card where all the kids from my class and from her sisters class could write their name in.

I used that weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers, but totally forgot to publish it.

Well, forgot, 'cause of the problems with my lenses I hardly sat behind my pc.

And you know what? I didn't even really miss it.....

Nadat de kaart klaar was, vond ik de linkerbovenhoek nog erg leeg.

Ik heb toen 3 kurken knopen in die hoek geplakt.

Ik ben alleen vergeten om daarna nog een foto van de kaart te maken.

After the card was finished, I thought the upperleft corner was quit empty.

I glued 3 cork buttons in that corner.

But totally forgot to take a photo after that.

Beterschap! ~ Feel better!

Ik was het afgelopen weekend weg naar Emmen met mijn ouders en een nichtje. (Hee, Jo!)

Heerlijk naar de dierentuin geweest, gaan bowlen en veel air-hockey gespeeld.

Kortom: een heerlijk weekendje weg!

I was away for the weekend with my parents and a cousin. (Hi, Jo!)

We went to the zoo, bowled and played a lot of air-hockey.

A blissfull weekend!

Door dit weekendje weg, ben ik helemaal vergeten om mijn kaart voor challenge # 30 bij Sunday Sketch & Stamp te laten zien.

En het is nog wel mijn eigen schets!

Ik heb gisteren mijn nieuwe lenzen en brillenglazen opgehaald en ik ben helemaal gelukkig.

Wat is het toch fijn om alles goed te kunnen zien!

I picked up my new lenses and glasses yesterday and I'm real happy.

So great to see everything in focus again!

Ogen ~ Eyes

Ik heb op het moment problemen met mijn ogen. Nou, eigenlijk met mijn ogen en mijn lenzen.

Mijn ogen zijn in vrij korte tijd een stuk slechter geworden en nu zijn mijn lenzen en brillenglazen niet op sterkte.

Omdat mijn ogen keihard moeten werken om toch nog wat te zien, zijn ze snel moe. Mijn lenzen zijn ook vaak erg vet, waardoor mijn zicht nog meer verminderd.

Computeren, lezen, creatief bezig zijn, dat schiet er even helemaal bij in. Ik kan alles met een korte tijd doen.

Hopelijk zijn komende week mijn nieuwe lenzen er en dan kan ik weer gewoon alles doen wat ik wil doen.

I'm having problems with my eyes at the moment. Well, actually with my eyes and my contact-lenses.

In a relativly short time my sight got less and now both my lenses and my glasses aren't strong enough.

Because my eyes have to work real hard to see, they get tired quickly. My lenses are greasy also and that makes my sight even less.

Computering, reading, being creative, it's all on hold. I can only do all of these things for a short time.

Hopefully my new lenses will arrive this coming week and then I can do all that I want to do again.

Ik heb de afbeelding afgedrukt op DP. Heb dat vorig jaar ook al eens gedaan met dit papier en ik vond het effect toen heel leuk.

Vanwege mijn ogen heb ik de afbeelding gewoon gekleurd en me niet druk gemaakt om schaduw.

I printed the image on DP. Did that also last year with these same papers and I liked the effect.

'Cause of my eyes, I didn't use any shading, I just colored the image.
