Het had echt niet veel langer moeten duren.

Ik was er echt klaar mee.

Maar wat heb ik weer mogen genieten van 22 geweldige kinderen dit jaar.

Lieve papa's en mama's, bedankt dat ik jullie kinderen een jaar mocht 'lenen'!

Mijn eerste van 3 LOs als GDT voor My Little Sketch Blook.

Ik kreeg een hele leuke schets om mee te werken en wist zodra ik 'm zag welke foto's ik wilde gebruiken.

En ik wist ook dat ik lekker vrolijk papier met blauw en groen erin wilde gebruiken.

De keuze voor dit October Afternoon papier was toen snel gemaakt!

I recieved a real nice sketch to work with and as soon as I saw it, I knew which photos I wanted to use.

And I also knew I wanted to use bright paper with blue and green in it.

The choice for this paper by October Afternoon was a simple one after that.

Deze pagina's heb ik gemaakt met schets # 30 van Creanijn.
Ik kom vaak uit bij Vickey's schetsen als ik meerdere foto's op een LO wil verwerken.
Alleen heel jammer dat ze niet meer elke week een schets plaatst.

Ik heb maar heel weinig geborduurd op deze LO: alleen de lijnen onder mijn tekst is geborduurd.

I tend to turn to Vickey's sketches when I want to use multiple photos on a LO.
Too bad she doesn't post one each week anymore.

I did just a little bit of stitching on this LO: only the lines under my journaling is stitched.

Ik wilde een simpele titelpagina, dus ik heb een rand geborduurd en ik heb letterstickers en thickers toegevoegd.
Lekker simpel dus:

Later zag ik de foto op de computer en toen vond ik 'm toch een beetje te simpel.
Ik heb toen een foto toegevoegd. Een foto, die voor mij staat voor Marokko.
Ik wist, al voor dat ik er naartoe ging, dat ik deze (of een vergelijkbare foto) zou maken.

When I saw the photo on the computer I found it a bit to simple.
So I added a photo. A photo that to me, represents Marocco.
I knew, even before I went there, that I was going to take this (or a similar) photo.

Sorry voor de kwaliteit van de foto's, die is niet echt geweldig.

Meteen toen ik 'm zag, wist ik dat ik 'm zou gebruiken.
En ik zal 'm zeker nog eens vaker gebruiken, hij is heel geweldig!

Deze LO is voor mijn Marokko-album.
Ik ben er uit hoe ik het album ga opzetten: vooraan komt een titelpagina, dan een pagina met onze route en dan weer een titelpagina met journaling voor dag 1. Daarachter komen de LOs over die dag. Zo ga ik dat met elke dag doen.
En helemaal achterin komen LOs zoals deze.
Die horen niet echt bij een dag, maar ik wil ze er wel bij hebben.

This LO is for my Marocco-album.
I figured out how I want to make the album: first a titlepage, then a page with the route we took and after that another titlepage with journaling about day 1.
Behind that titlepage there will be LOs about that day. I want to do it like this for every day.
And all the way in the back there will be LOs like this one.
They're not part of a day, but I want them in there anyway.

Kennismaking met het land ~ Discovering the country

Weer een spread voor mijn Marokko-album. Nu over mijn eerste indruk van het land.
De foto's heb ik gemaakt nadat we koffie hadden gedronken en de groep hadden ontmoet.

I made the photos after we had coffee and met the group we were traveling with.


Nu de LO klaar is, heb ik er spijt van dat ik de subtitel met pen geschreven heb.
Oranje uitgestanste letters waren mooier geweest. Maar goed, het is zoals het is!

Voor deze spread heb ik schets 7 gebruikt van het blog van Creanijn.
Jammer genoeg komen er geen nieuwe schetsen meer, want ik merk dat ik steeds naar deze schetsen grijp als ik meer foto's op een LO wil.

Now the LO is finished, I'm sorry I wrote the subtitle with a black pen.
Orange die-cut letters would have been much nicer. Well, it is as it is!

For this spread I used sketch 7 by Creanijn.
Too bad that they're not making more sketches, 'cause I tend to turn to them when I want to use more photos on a LO.

Waterdrager / Watercarrier * # 2 en 3 - 2010

In de kerstvakantie heb ik eindelijk de foto's van de vakantie naar Marokko uitgezocht.
Nou ja, in ieder geval de eerste 1000. Ik moet er nog een stuk of 400 laten afdrukken.
Omdat het al een tijd geleden is dat we daar zijn geweest (mei 2009), is het soms heel moeilijk om te weten waar en wanneer ik een foto gemaakt heb.
Ik heb ze nu per onderwerp bij elkaar en ik wil ze straks dan ook nog per dag bij elkaar leggen.
Er zijn natuurlijk foto's die niet echt ergens bij horen, ik heb bv onderweg wat foto's gemaakt vanuit de bus. Dat worden dan maar wat losse LOs.

At Christmas-break I finally sorted my photos of my vacation in Marocco.
Well, at least the first 1000. I still have to get about 400 of them printed.
'Cause it's been a while since we were there (may 2009), it's hard sometimes to remember when and where a photo was taken.
I have them sorted by subject now and later I also want to put them by day.
Of course there are some photos that don't belong to a subject, like some photos I took during the trip from inside the bus.
They'll end up in some single LOs.

Missed me?

Hebben jullie me gemist afgelopen week?
Ik zat heerlijk 8 dagen in Marokko: Cassablanca, Fes, Rabat, Marrakech, Meknes.
Een prachtig land en ik ga zeker nog eens terug.
Ik wil die Sahara in! ;0)

Ik ben samen met mijn moeder met een georganiseerde reis gegaan en dat is goed bevallen.
Een leuke groep mensen, goede hotels, goede bedden (heel belangrijk als je vaak om half 7 op moet!).
En maar een keer of 2 dat ik eigenlijk uit de bus had willen stappen om een foto te maken, dus dat was ook goed.

Ik ben blij dat we zo gegaan zijn, want ik hoorde vandaag van een collega die samen met haar vriendeen fly-drive geboekt hadden en hen viel het heel erg tegen.
Het constante moeten onderhandelen brak ze op een gegeven moment op.
Wij hoefden steeds maar aan te schuiven!

Mijn foto's staan op mijn pc en hopelijk heb ik snel tijd om ze uit te zoeken.
Ik heb er 'maar' bijna 1400................

Did you miss me last week?
I was in Morocco for 8 days: Cassablanca, Fes, Rabat, Marrakech, Meknes.
A beautiful country that I'll surely visit again.
I want to see that Sahara! ;0)

I went with my mom on an organised trip and that suited us nicely: great group of people, great hotels, great beds (and that's important when you have to wake up at 6.30!).
And only once or twice I wanted to get of the bus to take a photo, so that's okay to.

I'm glad we took the trip this way, 'cause a co-worker went on a fly-drive with her boyfriend and that wasn't great.
They got so tired of negotiating about everything.
All we had to do was take a seat!

My photos are on my pc and hopefully I'll have time soon to check them all out.
I 'only' took about 1400 of them...............

Deze kruizen stonden vlakbij Checkpoint Charlie toen we in Berlijn waren.
Ik heb begrepen dat ze ze moetsen weghalen. Ik weet alleen niet waarom.

Ik ben gisteren bij Thea begonnen aan deze LO.
Mijn Sisters (Hee, meiden!) en ik proberen elke maand een dag bij elkaar te komen.
Helaas lukt het vaak niet, want het is altijd heerlijk om een dag te beppen en te scrappen.
Ik was mijn naald en draad vergeten, dus ik heb hem zover gemaakt, dat ik alleen nog maar hoefde te borduren.

My Sisters (Hey, girls!) and I try to get together each month.
Unfortunatly we don't manage every month, 'cause a day full of talking and scrapping is always great.
I forgot my needle and thread, so I made the LO as far as I could.
I only had to do the stitching when I came back home.

Volgens mij zijn ze al voor het 2e jaar bezig, maar ik kan de schetsen van vorig jaar nergens vinden.

A LO for my USA 2000-album.

Slowly but surely more and more LOs are added to this album. Is about time!

I have used sketch # 12 from 52sketches to make this LO.

There are some great sketches on this site.

I think they are doing this for the 2nd year, but I can't find the sketches from last year anywhere.

Maybe I should ask about them on the forum.

52 sketches - week 10, Mothers and Daughters Creations & # 214

Deze LO heb ik gemaakt adhv schets 10 van 52 sketches...52 weeks.
Ze hebben daar elke week hele mooie schetsen, maar ik heb nog niet eerder tijd gehad om er 1 te gebruiken.

En deze LO is ook voor de 'One Word'-challenge bij Mothers and Daughters Creations.
Het is de bedoeling dat de titel van je LO uit 1 woord bestaat.

Ik heb heel veel geborduurd op deze LO: langs de randen van al het papier, langs de rand van alle cirkels, langs de randen van de tags en op de die-cut letter 'S'.

They have a really great sketch every week, but I never had time to use 1 before.

Maar wat zijn die 6 weken snel omgegaan!
Ik heb veel gedaan, veel gezien, veel gefietst, veel genoten.....
6 weken was echt veel te weinig!

But boy, did those 6 weeks fly by!
I did a lot, saw a lot, did a lot of biking, did a lot of enjoying.....

In 1992 gingen mijn ouders op vakantie naar Finland en St. Petersburg.
Ik wilde toen heel graag met ze mee, want ik had geen idee wanneer ik weer de kans zou hebben om daar naartoe te gaan.

Een van de dingen die mij het meest is bijgebleven van die vakantie (behalve de rendieren ;0 )) Hoi, pap!) is de rust en stilte in Finland.
Je kon een hele tijd rijden en niemand tegen komen.
Op een avond hebben we gewoon naar de stilte staan luisteren.
Heel bijzonder!

De scanner heeft weer wat leuks van de kleuren gemaakt.
In het echt is dat ScenicRoute-papier (Ashville-lijn) helemaal niet fel.

* In 1992 my parents went on vacation to Finland and St. Petersburg.
I really wanted to go with them, 'cause I didn't know when I would have the chance to go there again.

One of the things I most remember of that vacation (besides of the rendeer ;0)) Hi, dad!) is the peace and calm of Finland.
You could drive for hours and not see anyone.
One night we listened to the silence. (That's also the title of this LO.)
Real awesome!

My scanner did a great job on the colors again.
IRL this ScenicRoute-paper (Ashville-collection) isn't bright at all.

#116 - 119

Ik heb vandaag 2 LOs (af)gemaakt met foto's van de trip naar Berlijn.

Alle materialen komen uit de HTK van AkkeFietje van april van dit jaar.

Op de originele LO die ik gebruikt heb om de 2e LO te maken, zitten geen knopen.

Maar ik wilde wat papier loshalen en toen scheurde het papier wat er onder zat.

Ik heb een setje liggen om lijm los te maken, maar de instructies zijn in het frans en laat ik dat nou echt niet begrijpen.....

On the original LO that I used to make the 2nd page, there were no buttons.

But I wanted to take some paper of and then the other paper ripped.

I have sort of Undo here, but the instructions are in French and I really don't understand any of it.....

Kuuroord + kaart / Spa + card

Ik ben heerlijk een paar dagen met mijn moeder naar het kuuroord Fontana in Nieuweschans geweest.

We hebben gewandeld, gefietst, gezwommen, geslapen, gelezen, zijn in de sauna geweest en we hebben er heerlijk gegeten.

Heerlijk een paar dagen waarin niks moet!

* My mom and I spent a few glorious days in a Spa in the north of Holland.

We walked, biked, swam, slept, read, went to the sauna and had great diners.

Love those days when you don't have to do anything!

Op de heenweg zijn we een nachtje in Harderwijk bij mijn oom en nichtje geweest.

We wilden nog naar hen toe voor zij naar de VS vertrekken morgen. Ik had nog een cadeautje voor mijn neef en zijn vrouw (4 jaar geleden gemaakt!), 2 kaarten voor hun dochters en ik had nog wat dollars liggen die ik mijn nichtje gegeven heb.

Kan ze iets leuks voor zichzelf kopen.

* On our way there we stopped in Harderwijk and spent the night with my uncle and cousin.

We wanted to see them before they love for the States tomorrow. I also had a gift for my cousin and his wife (made that 4 years ago!), 2 cards for their girls and I had some dollars laying around that I gave to my cousin.

She can spent it on herself.

Ik vind het altijd erg leuk om te zien hoe groot mijn neefjes en nichtjes worden.

Ik ben de oudste van het stel en ik heb ze allemaal zien opgroeien.

Mijn nichtje uit Harderwijk is nu 14 en een hele slimme meid! (En mooi!)

We hebben een hele tijd zitten praten over van-alles-en-nog-wat.

Het is dan heel leuk om te zien hoe zij ook kan bijdragen aan een gesprek en hoe zij vragen kan stellen om dingen duidelijker te krijgen.

Heel geweldig!

* I always like seeing how much my cousins have grown.

I'm the oldest of the bunch and I watched them all grow up.

My cousin in Harderwijk is 14 now and a very smart cookie! (And beautifull!)

We talked a long time about everything-and-nothing.

It's real nice to see how much she can contribute to a conversation and how she can ask questions to have some things clearefied (sp?).

Really awesome!

Dit kaartje had ik zaterdag nog gemaakt voor de oudste dochter van mijn neef.

Ik vond dat zij ook een kaartje verdiende!

I thought she deserved one to!

Vakantie!

Vanmiddag om 12 uur is mijn vakantie officieel begonnen.
Vanmorgen moest ik nog werken, maar de kinderen waren al vrij.
Ik heb de laatste dingen gedaan om uit mijn oude lokaal te gaan en nog wat aan mijn administratie gewerkt. Want daar loop ik hopeloos mee achter.
Nu moet ik daar in de vakantie nog aan werken. Eigen schuld!

Vanavond hebben we een borrel + etentje bij een collega om te vieren dat zij haar opleiding tot InternBegeleider heeft afgerond en om de vakantie in te luiden.

Heerlijk, morgen geen wekker.....

* Today at noon my vacation officialy started.
I had to work this morning, but the kids had the day off already.
I did the last things to clear out my old class-room and worked on some paper-work. I'm hopelessly behind on that.
So I'll have to work on that in my vacation. My own fault!

Tonight we're having drinks and dinner over at a co-workers house to celebrate her getting her degree and to ring in the vacation.

Bliss, no alarm-clock tomorrow.....
